The American University Washington College of Law’s Transactional Negotiation Teams (TNT) are setting a new standard for legal advocacy through a series of standout performances across the U.S. and around the globe.

At the Tulane Football Negotiation Competition, team members Nick Yun, Ryan Baker, and Jack Di Masi earned a spot in the top ten, showcasing strong negotiation strategy and teamwork.

In Chicago, Mariah Stephens, Ithar Hassan, and Ashira Chugh advanced to the semi-finals of the Chicago Bar’s Transactional Law Competition, continuing TNT’s streak of excellence.

TNT also excelled at the California Sports Lawyer Negotiation Competition, where Vice President Liz Cisneros and incoming President Olivia Potter not only placed first in their qualifiers but also advanced to the finals, securing third place overall. Olivia Potter was honored with the “Best Individual Advocate” award, while the team received the “Best Team Oral Advocacy” award.

The momentum continued in Detroit, where Linda Rose Piccolo and Tanner Burt, earned a second-place finish in negotiations at the Taft Competition.
At Duke’s Transactional Law Competition, Sam Lohner and Rami Alkhafaji claimed first place, further cementing AUWCL’s presence among the top negotiation programs in the nation.

Taking their talents across the pond, Krista Trefren, Jwalin Raval, and Lexie Henry represented AUWCL in The Negotiation Challenge and advanced to the prestigious in-person finals in Cape Town, South Africa, where they earned silver— one of the top three scores in the preliminary rounds and finishing second in the final.

AUWCL is incredibly proud of its Transactional Negotiation Teams and looks forward to more victories ahead!
