American University Washington College of Law proudly celebrates the election of two accomplished alumnae—Diane Seltzer ’91 and Amanda Molina ’16—to prominent leadership roles within the D.C. Bar, one of the largest unified bar associations in the country.

Diane Seltzer (WCL/JD ’91), principal and founder of The Seltzer Law Firm, has been elected President-Elect of the D.C. Bar. A seasoned employment lawyer and respected voice in workplace rights and compliance, Seltzer has long combined legal excellence with a commitment to public service. She has also served as an adjunct professor at AUWCL, teaching employment law and human resources compliance.

In her campaign, Seltzer emphasized the importance of engaging members, supporting new attorneys, and strengthening the Bar’s role as a resource for the legal community. She will serve as President-Elect for one year before assuming the presidency in 2026. “This is an exciting time to shape the profession’s future, and I’m proud to represent AUWCL in doing so,” Seltzer said.

Amanda Molina (WCL/JD ’16, SIS/MA ’16) was elected Treasurer-Elect of the D.C. Bar. Molina serves as Corporate Counsel in Microsoft’s Cloud and Artificial Intelligence division and is an Assistant Judge Advocate General in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. Her career spans both the private and public sectors, reflecting a strong foundation in technology, national security, and global legal issues—hallmarks of her dual-degree training at AUWCL and the School of International Service.

Molina brings a focus on fiscal transparency, innovation, and accessibility to her new role. “I’m committed to helping the D.C. Bar remain a strong, forward-thinking institution that supports its members and the public alike,” she said.

In addition to the new appointments, Andrea Mangones (WCL/JD ’09, SIS/MA ’09) was re-elected to continue serving on the D.C. Bar’s Board of Governors. As Director of Legal Training at Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), Mangones plays a vital role in ensuring quality legal representation for unaccompanied immigrant children. Her continued leadership reflects a strong commitment to legal education, child advocacy, and advancing public interest law.

The D.C. Bar serves more than 110,000 members, providing professional support, ethical guidance, and community engagement across the legal field. The continued leadership of AUWCL alumnae at the highest levels of the Bar reflects the law school’s enduring legacy of producing leaders who serve with excellence and purpose.

From public interest and policy to tech law and legal education, these alumnae exemplify the breadth and depth of AUWCL’s impact in the nation’s capital and beyond.
