SIEEJ 2024 Ending Violence in PreK–16 Schools

The 2024 theme, "Ending Violence in PreK–16 Schools," reflected the comprehensive and collaborative approach required to address school violence effectively. SIEEJ 2024 explored innovative strategies, evidence-based solutions, and the importance of solidarity in creating safer schools. A hybrid event, panel sessions were virtual and recorded, while the Dr. Edmund Gordon Distinguished Lecture was offered in hybrid format and was not recorded.
"Ending Violence in PreK–16 Schools" featured talks by educators Dr. Nathaniel Bryan, Lia Epperson, Gregory Neal Jackson, Jr., and Dr. Sophia Rodriguez, as well as discussions conducted by expert panels covering an array of topics concerning school violence.
The event closed with the Dr. Edmund W. Gordon Distinguished Lecture, featuring a talk by acclaimed New York Times bestselling author Dr. Bettina Love. *See bios in the Speakers tab.
