Visiting Katzen Arts Center

Hours

The AU Museum and store are open Tuesday–Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., except during exhibit installations.

Check the museum homepage for up-to-date hours.

The Art Department and Performing Arts Department main offices are in the Katzen Rotunda, room 101.

Open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. as well as select Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. during the spring and fall for tours and info sessions.

The Katzen ticket office is closed for the summer and will reopen on the first day of class, August 26.

Parking

Free on weekends and after 5 p.m. on weekdays in the Katzen's underground garage.

Paid parking is available 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays for $2/hour.

Public Transportation

The closest Metro station is the Tenleytown/AU stop on the red line. From the Metro, you can take the AU shuttle bus to Katzen from the corner of Albemarle and 40th Street. The bus runs every 10-15 minutes.

  • N3, N4, N6, N8 pass the Katzen on Massachusetts Ave. NW
  • M4 and N2 pass the Katzen on Nebraska Ave. NW at Ward Circle
