Students Lunch Quad

AU remains committed to being a responsible, considerate neighbor.

We want to work with you to help ensure AU students, faculty, staff, and guests follow our Good Neighbor Guidelines regarding parking, noise control, and conduct.

We encourage you to connect with AU whether you're signing up for programs and events or relaying concerns and reporting incidents.

The American University Neighborhood Partnership is an inclusive forum connecting AU and neighbors to find consensus-based solutions to shared concerns.

The Partnership meets regularly through four standing Working Groups (Facilities Planning, Student Life and Safety, Transportation and Parking, and Engagement and Communications), each co-chaired by a neighborhood resident and a university representative, with guidance provided by a Steering Committee.

New members are always welcome!

Looking for AU babysitters, lawn care, interns, or other types of part-time labor? Post your opportunity to Quad Jobs and find the ideal student.

AU values our neighbors and educates our students about their responsibilities as DC residents. Most AU students are good neighbors but if a conduct-related issue arises, please share your concern in one of the following ways:

• In case of emergency, call 911 to notify the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).

• For ongoing disturbances such as excessive noise, call MPD on 311 (non-emergency) and then call AU Police Department at 202-885-2527 so both departments can respond.

• For an after-the-event response, contact the Dean of Students using the Online Neighbor Complaint Report or by calling 202-885-3300.

• For violations of the Good Neighbor Parking Policy, contact AU Parking Enforcement or call 202-885-3111.

Thanks for being our neighbor. We look forward to seeing you on campus!
