Thank You for Attending the 30th Anniversary Ann Ferren Conference Friday, January 11, 2019
The 30th Anniversary Ann Ferren Conference was held on Friday, January 11, 2019 in the Mary Graydon Center at American University. This year’s conference continued the trend with more than 400 participating faculty, staff, and graduate students. This year’s program featured 30 sessions, a morning plenary at which former Interim Provost Ann Ferren talked about the current state of higher education; and a lunch plenary at which President Sylvia Burwell moderated a faculty panel discussion on the scholar-teacher ideal (Panelists: Angela Davis, Laura DeNardis, Anthony Riley & Núria Vilanova).
Save the date for the next Ann Ferren Conference: Friday, January 10, 2020. Solicitation for session proposals will begin in the early summer of 2019.
