The Behavioral Research Lab and the Eye Tracking Lab are currently used by the Kogod faculty to conduct research. While priority is given to those with a Kogod School of Business affiliation, researchers outside of Kogod are able to reserve and use the lab, depending on availability, for a fee.If you are interested in using the Behavioral Research Lab, please contact Wendy Boland.

Behavior Research Lab Policies

  • Lab priority is given to those with a Kogod School of Business affiliation.

  • Lab reservation requests may be submitted up to sixty (60) days in advance.

  • Behavioral Research Lab equipment may be used in the Lab space only.

  • Lab reservation hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Saturday through Sunday 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

  • Each individual researcher is responsible for arranging for and scheduling participants.

  • All Behavioral Research Lab users must be trained on the equipment they will be using. Please contact the Behavioral Research Lab Manager at kogod_blab@american.edu to set up a training session.

  • Research projects take top priority over all other uses of the Behavioral Research Lab.

  • Research conducted in the Lab must be in compliance with standards set by the Institutional Review Board for the Protection of Human Subjects (IRB). Please click here for information and forms related to the human subjects approval process.
