Celebrating Transgender Visibility Day With Sarah McBrideTuesday, March 31st 7pm-8pm

Join Students for Change, AU PRIDE, and KPU for a conversation with Sarah McBride. Former AU SPA student, McBride, held many positions on AU's campus and came out as transgender her senior year. Join us in McKinley's Doyle-Forman Theater to learn more about her time at AU and life as the first transgender State Senator in U.S. history. RSVP here

Upstream Downriver at DCEFF: Screening & Panel Tuesday, March 21st 6:00pm

Upstream, Downriver features community activists on the frontlines fighting for water justice and equity. Their powerful stories are interwoven with historical context about the successes and failures of the Clean Water Act. This DCEFF screening event panel features filmmaker and Director of CEF Maggie Burnette Stogner and MFA graduate student Marissa Woods, Patuxent Riverkeeper Fred Tutman, and EarthJustice water attorney Julian Gonzalez. AU SOC Visions Awards 2023 

Monday, March 28th 8pm

The Visions Awards are the Film Division’s prestige awards ceremony, showcasing the best film and media work from American University students for over 40 years. This year the event will be held in McKinley's Doyle-Forman Theater on March 28th at 8pm. This on-campus event will be limited to American University students, staff and faculty. However, the event will also be livestreamed. We will send the livestream link to anyone who has registered. RSVP Here

Trans Life at University: An Inclusive Excellence Panel Discussion

Tuesday, March 7th 6pm-7pm 

Please join us in welcoming Associate Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies in Philosophy Perry Zurn; Associate Professor Department of World Languages and Cultures Juliana Martinez; and AU Pride President Cheyenne Smith in a conversation touching on Trans life at AU, on campuses across the country, as well as internationally.
