Building20 Advertising Content April 13-14, 2018

Building20 is an advertising strategy and creative bootcamp hosted by AU and United Entertainment Group (UEG). Participants will get a crash course in how to approach and answer a real-world ‘request for proposal’ (RFP) from a major culturally-relevant brand, with the mentorship and guidance from UEG. Afterwards, teams will be split into groups of 4-5 (up to 5 people) in order to formulate a response to the RFP. All work will be presented to a judging panel. The winning team will awarded $5,000 and a trip to New York to shadow UEG executives. B20 is open to SOC juniors, seniors, and graduate students. Students can apply individually or in groups. UEG will select up to 20 participants.

Monday, April 2
Deadline for application.

Applicants will be notified of their acceptance.*
Sunday, April 8
Short kick-off video meeting with participants.
Friday, April 13
6:30 PM - 8 PM
Meet and greet in the American University Game Lab.
Saturday, April 14
9 AM - 4 PM
4-5 teams develop their pitches and present them in the afternoon. A judging panel will select the winner.

*We will maintain a waitlist until the day of the kick-off call.
