Neri Ann Martinez, Minority Staff Director, U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging

Prior to joining Senator Tim Scott's office (R-SC), Martinez managed the Office of Economic Impact and Diversity, which develops and executes Congressionally-mandated policies to strengthen diversity and inclusion goals at DOE, ensuring that all communities are able to participate fully in the Department of Energy's programs, opportunities, and resources.

She was previously the Executive Director of the Republican State Leadership Committee’s Future Majority Project, which recruited hundreds of new women and minority candidates and spent over $20 million to elect almost 100 new diverse candidates and over 500 new women to office in all 50 states. In 2012, Martinez served as Hispanic Outreach Director in North Carolina for the Republican National Committee where she was credited for significantly increasing the Hispanic voter share in the RNC’s only swing state win.

She also worked in government affairs for the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc., served on its Diversity Committee and was President of The Free Cuba Foundation. Prior to her political career, she had a background in business development and advocacy.

Martinez is the founder and President of Maven Strategies. With over 10 years of experience in at both the state and federal level, Martinez has developed the skills necessary to identify underdeveloped markets and make the case for innovative strategies that enhance the R.O.I. of any organization’s overall mission and goals.

Martinez serves on the Board of Directors of RightNow Women PAC, is a DC Chapter leader of the Florida International University (FIU) Alumni organization, an active board member of the Hispanic Lobbyists Association, The Millennial Action Council, the DC Young Republicans, DC GOP, Maverick PAC, Running Start, The Advisory Board to the US Senate Republican Task Force on Hispanic Affairs and Vital Voices Young Leaders Council. Martinez is fluent in English, Spanish and French. She received her BBA from Florida International University in International Business Honors and Political Science and is pursuing a Global Masters of Arts at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
