Apply for the AU Alumni Board
The American University Alumni Board is a dedicated group of volunteers who serve as ambassadors for AU and work to actively engage other alumni in the life of the university.

Help Lead Your Local Community
Alumni volunteers worldwide work to strengthen the ties of alumni to American University by representing the Alumni Association in their specific geographic regions.

Participate in Affinity Groups

The annual Multicultural Alumni Reunion (MCAR) celebrates the diverse cultural identities of American University’s alumni community. 

Get Involved with a Young Alumni Chapter
In DC and New York City, the Young Alumni Chapters sponsor programming designed to meet the social, professional, and educational needs and interests of our graduates from the past 10 years.

Become an Alumni Admissions Volunteer
Interview prospective students, attend college fairs at local high schools, and participate in events for potential and incoming students.
