Thank you for your interest in the College of Arts and Sciences. We are excited to connect with you. Along with our events calendar, we offer private visits both online and in-person.

Please note: this office can only represent graduate degrees (PhD, Master's, and Graduate Certificates) within the College of Arts & Sciences. Check our Degrees & Programs page for a full list of our graduate programs. Don't see your program listed? Please email CASGRAD@american.edu and we we can get you in touch with the appropriate school.

Virtual Visits

Admissions representatives, Jonathan Harper and Laurel Semple, are available for virtual visits using the Zoom platform. While it is best to speak with the representative who works with your intendend program, any staff member can assist you with questions regarding our graduate programs and the application process.

On-Campus Visits

For applicants who wish to visit campus, we offer in-person meetings with an admissiosn representative. This can include a campus tour and faculty visit (contingent on availability). Meeting details and parking instructions are emailed the week of the visit. Please provide at least one week's notice for all requests.

American University cannot provide travel funds, accommodations, or VISAs to attend an on-campus visit.

On-Campus Visit

Schedule an on-campus visit

 

On-campus visits take place on American University's main campus on Mondays and Fridays. 

 

We offer individual visits appicaitons to graduate degrees (PhD, MA, Graduate Certificates) in AU's College of Arts & Sciences.

 

Faculty meetings can be requested but are contingent on availbility. Faculty visits are not available for the PhD Behavior, Cognition & Neuroscience and PhD Clincial Psychology programs. Please contact the department directly to reach out to a faculty member.
