Subject: Switching Power From Generators To New Transformers

As we have completed installation of the new transformers behind Hughes Hall, on Monday, Nov. 5, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., we plan to switch power from the generators that have been powering Cassell and Leonard Halls back to normal power. The generators will be turned off and removed soon thereafter.

While the switch takes place, emergency generators will turn on and provide power to the egress lighting and one of the elevators at Cassell and Leonard Halls. 

Additionally, on Wednesday, Nov. 7, from 11 p.m. until Thursday, Nov. 8 at 3 a.m., we will require an electrical outage for McDowell and Hughes Halls to switch power from the generators to normal power. The emergency generator will provide egress lighting and one elevator. We will have personnel on site to make sure everything operates as it should.
