Canvas at American University

We are pleased to announce that AU has chosen Canvas as its new learning management system. Canvas will be available beginning in the Fall 2020 semester. Blackboard will continue to be available and supported during the transition. Please check your course syllabus and/or welcome email from your assigned faculty member to confirm which platform will be used. Canvas provides an intuitive design, modern interface, and enhanced communication tools that will strengthen our ability to deliver engaging, high-quality learning experiences for students.
