Please join me in congratulating the 2021 University Faculty Award recipients. The individuals listed below have contributed immeasurably to the AU community, to their disciplines, and to the lives of their students and colleagues. They have demonstrated excellence in their teaching, scholarship, and service, as well as in their efforts to promote diversity and inclusion. Many thanks to the Faculty Senate’s Faculty Awards Review Committee for their conscientious review of this year’s nominations, with special thanks to Garret Martin for serving as chair.
I am also pleased to announce the faculty members who have reached milestone anniversaries ranging from 25 to 50 years of service, as well as those retiring during the 2020–2021 academic year. I know you join me in honoring these dedicated colleagues, who have shaped American University in so many significant ways.
