Student-Alumni Programs

Explore opportunities for engagement with alumni.

The Alumni Association develops programs and services that connect students and alumni for networking, mentoring, and social engagement, enhancing and supporting the student experience. Through meaningful interaction between students and alumni, we can inspire learning and encourage lasting relationships.

The Alumni Association hosts a variety of programs and initiatives for students and alumni to interact. Students benefit from the advice and guidance from experienced professionals and alumni remain connected to AU.

CURRENT STUDENT-ALUMNI ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Do you wonder if there are other AU students in your town, studying remotely? Would it be helpful to meet other Eagles who know what it's like to be "doing AU" in Texas, or Ohio, or Puerto Rico?

Eagles Everywhere is a way to help AU get together, right where you're living. This is your platform; it's not a structured event, or part of a class, or another Zoom meeting. (Though of course you can meet up by Zoom if you like!) It's a way to find each other and reach out.

There's also information on connecting with alumni and a number of ways for parents and families to meet and support each other.

You're not alone in these challenging times. We're AU Together — and there are Eagles Everywhere!

Since 2010, the Dinner with Alumni program has become part of the AU experience. Alumni have hosted almost 200 dinners throughout DC, engaging more than 1,000 Eagles in meaningful conversations over a shared meal.

While we cannot share a meal in person right now, we certainly can continue the conversations, community-building, and mentorship virtually.

This fall, American University students and alumni are invited to come together for one-on-one conversations across the globe! Sign up to be matched and participate in this AU tradition.
