Poster Printing
The AU Library Makerspace is pleased to offer a Canon imagePROGRAF iPF-8400 large format poster printer to current AU students, staff, and faculty for their academic and personal needs. If you would like to discuss your poster, or don't know where to start, schedule a consultation with us!
Submitting a PDF file to print
All files must be submitted as a PDF using our poster printing request form. Once submitted, Makerspace staff will be in contact using our ticketing system—keep an eye on your email for updates to your case. We will not edit your poster to fit the desired size or complete any other design work on your behalf, so please submit your PDF file exactly how you want it printed! We ask for a 24-hour turnaround when printing posters.
Note: The Makerspace is only open Monday - Friday. Any prints submitted on Friday evening through the weekend will be attended to on Monday at the earliest. If you need a poster for a conference or a presentation, we highly recommend submitting your poster a few days early. Otherwise, we cannot guarantee it will be printed on time. Expedited prints are subject to staff availability and an additional $5 fee.
Pricing
All of our paper is Canon Glossy Photo Paper 170 gsm, and the costs are determined by the length of the final poster. The price per linear foot varies by the width of the paper roll (length/12 x cost of roll).
| Roll Width | Cost |
|---|---|
| 24 inch wide roll | $5.00 per foot |
| 36 inch wide roll | $5.25 per foot |
| 42 inch wide roll | $5.50 per foot |
| Poster Size | Price |
|---|---|
| 17x22 inches | $7.10 |
| 24x36 inches | $10.50 |
| 30x40 inches | $13.75 |
| 36x48 inches | $21.00 |
We offer three options for payment: Credit Card, Eaglebucks, or Departmental Invoice. All transactions are completed virtually through our ticketing system. Please follow the emailed instructions carefully or there could be a delay in receiving your item. Unfortunately, payment for posters cannot be taken from your printing allotment. Invoice payments are sent for collection on a semesterly basis and are not necessarily completed for pickup.
Pickup
After a successful payment, all posters are placed in their pickup location against the Information Desk, next to Popular Reading, on the First Floor of the Library. This floor is open 24/7. Due to space restrictions, we will only hold items for 1 week before discarding or adding them to our samples collection.
In-Class Sessions
Faculty wishing to schedule informational in-class academic poster sessions should contact us to set up an appointment.
