Registration Dates Spring 2022 Semester and Terms 2022T1, 2022T2

On September 28, all currently enrolled students were assigned a registration appointment start time for Spring 2022 semester registration. Students should log in to Student Planning via myau.american.edu by clicking the Eagle Service link under Academics. Your registration appointment start time will be displayed in Eastern Standard Time on the Schedule tab within Student Planning. For more information about registration planning visit the Student Planning page

Terms 2022T1 and 2022T2 Online Graduate Student Registration Dates

Four Term students are not assigned an appointment start time to register.

Monday, October 25, 12:00 AM
Four Term Online Graduate Students begin registering. Students enrolled in the online programs: MBA, Analytics, Marketing Analytics, and International Relations and Business begin registering for 2022T1(Jan-Mar) and 2022T2(Apr-Jun) Terms. There are no registration assignment times for 2022T1 and 2022T2

Spring 2022 Semester Graduate Student Registration Dates

Monday, October 25, 7:00 AM
Continuing Degree Doctoral Students begin registering. Students must consult with their academic advisor prior to registration. Check Student Planning for registration assignment time.
Tuesday, October 26, 7:00 AM
Continuing Degree Graduate Students begin registering. Students must consult with their academic advisor prior to registration. Check Student Planning for registration assignment time.
Tuesday, October 26
Continuing Non-Degree Graduate and Certificate Graduate Students begin registering. Students must consult with their academic advisor prior to registration. Check Student Planning for registration assignment time.
Wednesday, November 17
New Degree and Certificate Graduate Students begin registering. Students must consult with their academic advisor prior to registration. There are no assignment times for New Degree and Certificate Graduate students.
Wednesday, November 17
New Non-Degree Graduate Students should contact AU Central for additional information about registration.
 

 

Spring 2022 Semester Post Baccalaureate Student Registration Dates

Tuesday, October 26
Post Baccalaureate Students begin to register contingent upon completion of all preparatory work and with the approval of their school or college advisor. Information will be sent by email to deposit paid students. All students should contact their school or college for additional details on eligibility for registration.
 

 

Spring 2022 Semester Undergraduate Student Registration Dates

Monday, November 1, 7:00 AM
Continuing Degree and Non-Degree Undergraduate Students begin registration based on the number of completed credits as shown in the table below. Students must consult with their academic advisor prior to registration.
Monday, November 8
Washington Semester Program Students begin to register.
Wednesday, November 17
New Transfer Undergraduate Students will be permitted to register contingent upon completion of all preparatory work and based on the completed credits. Students must consult with their academic advisor prior to registration.
Wednesday, November 17
New Degree-seeking Early Decision/Regular Decision Undergraduate Students begin to register based on the following deposited student groups, Spring 2022 Deferred, Early Decision, Pell-Eligible, and First-Generation. Registration is contingent upon completion of all preparatory work and with the approval of their school or college advisor. All students should contact FYadvising@american.edu for additional details on eligibility for registration.
Wednesday, November 17
New Degree-seeking Regular Decision Undergraduate Students begin to register. Registration is contingent upon completion of all preparatory work and with the approval of their school or college advisor. Spring 2022 Semester Priority Registration Breakdown for Degree Seeking Graduate and Undergraduate Students

Please note that your completed credit total does not include credits that are currently "in progress". Your completed credit total will be calculated based on credit earned at AU, accepted credit in transfer, or accepted credit from advanced standing exams. Your completed credit total is calculated as of September 28, 2021.

Spring 2022 Semester Priority Registration Adjustments for Undergraduate

In accordance with the recommendations made by the Registration Task Force, students in one of the following groups will receive the corresponding adjustment to their completed credit total. If you are in more than one of the student populations below, your adjustment will not be combined, and instead the larger credit adjustment of the two will be applied to determine your registration assignment time.
