Point of Contact

Valerie Verra and Scott Cassidy are the two primary Point of Contacts (POCs) for all VA Educational Benefits. The Veterans Office is located in AU Central - 201 Asbury Building and walk-in hours are Monday - Friday 1 -5 or by appointment. Additionally, students are encouraged to contact the Veteran Center through for the most timely response.

Kasie served 5 years in the United States Marine Corps as a VH-60N Aviation Mechanic at HMX Squardron 1. After her honorable discharge, she was admitted to AU where she is currently completing a Bachelor of Science in Biology and minoring in Public Health. Her future plans include going on to Gradute School in Spring 2019 to further cultivate her interest in the field fo Biology. Alongside her studies, Kasie has worked in AU Central - Veteran Services for the last 4 years in various roles. She now serves as one of AU's VA Certifying Officials for nearly 450 students receiving VA Benefits.
