Join 31 Days to a Healthier You... Unplugged Edition!

Refocus this month with AhealthyU's calendar challenge, 31 Days to a Healthier You. As many of us may be feeling overly connected to the virtual world, the Unplugged Edition of our calendar challenge will help you limit and disconnect from technology.

The new challenge encourages you to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle by completing daily wellness activities to personalize your own 31-day calendar. Whether you want to limit your internet use or refocus on your well-being, this challenge is about self-care. It's about YOU!

Each day that you log an activity increases your chances of winning a prize! Winners will be selected at random weekly to win $25 in EagleBucks. At the end of the challenge, one grand prize winner will be selected at random to win $100 in EagleBucks.

New this year! 

  • You can now keep track of your daily activities via the Givhero app. Desktop version of the Givhero calendar is also available.
  • Log as many activities as you would like on the same day. (Only one activity counts towards the Points game).

AhealthyU's calendar challenge, 31 Days to a Healthier You, begins October 1! To get started:

Step 1: Complete an online participation waiver. If you already completed an AhealthyU waiver in 2020, skip this step.

Step 2: Join the challenge on October 1. 

  • New Givhero user? Tap givhero.page.link/ahealthier-you from your mobile phone, download the Givhero app*, and accept the challenge. Be sure to use your AU email address when creating your account.
    • Computer users, simply click on the link, click on Access the Calendar to Log Activity, and create an account.
  • Returning Givhero user? Tap givhero.page.link/ahealthier-you from your mobile phone and accept the challenge.
    • Computer users, simply click on the link, click on Access the Calendar to Log Activity, and log-in to your account.

Step 3: Start logging your activities beginning October 1.

Note: No advance registration is required. All participants must have a Givhero account. Supporting a charity and inviting a sponsor are optional activities. 

*Givhero app users are automatically enrolled to receive push notifications and may opt out at any time.

You can begin recording activities on your 31-day calendar beginning on October 1 straight from your mobile device or computer!

Using the Givhero App (recommended): 

To log an activity:

  • Tap on the challenge from your Givhero app dashboard, and then tap the triangular exclamation point icon to log the activity. On the calendar, tap on the plus icon and select your activity. Your entry will save automatically.
  • You have the option to record your activity daily or at the end of each week. Multiple activities can be recorded on the same day. Activities cannot be logged for future dates.
  • User Tip: Tap on the calendar icon on the left side of the screen for easy access to the full October calendar.

To delete an activity:

  • Click on the check mark icon on that specific day and select none.

View the challenge leaderboard at any time in the Givhero app by tapping on Challenges and then tapping on 31 Days to a Healthier You. 

Using the online desktop calendar:

To log an activity:

  • Click on the plus icon on the day you completed the activity and select the activity from the dropdown menu. Your entry will save automatically.
  • You have the option to record your activity daily or at the end of each week. Only one activity can be recorded per day. 

To delete an activity:

  • Click on the check mark icon or that specific day and select none from the dropdown menu

Select your activity of choice daily on your Givhero calendar. Self-care activities include:

  • Share a healthy recipe
  • Make a balanced meal
  • Drink 64oz+ water
  • Write down a shopping list
  • Stretch for 5-10 minutes
  • Stand up from your area every hour
  • Get 7-9 hours of sleep
  • Exercise for 30+ minutes
  • Ride a bike
  • Play a sport or athletic game
  • Workout with a buddy
  • Take a 15-minute walk
  • Go on a hike
  • Visit a park
  • Wash your mask
  • Garden or care for plants
  • Paint or draw
  • Do a craft project
  • Play with your pet
  • Play with your children
  • Sign-up for a charitable activity
  • Donate to a charity
  • Donate clothing or items
  • Limit daily social media use
  • Limit screen time before sleep
  • Complete a random act of kindness
  • Give someone a compliment
  • Meditate for 10 minutes
  • Write or journal
  • List 3 things you are grateful for
  • Practice a self-care routine
  • Listen to a favorite song
  • Have an at-home movie night
  • Share a positive, happy story
  • Declutter and organize a space
  • Clean a room for 15 minutes
  • Create a vision board
  • Send a care package
  • Take a break outside
  • Talk to family and friends
  • Read an article or book for relaxation
  • Listen to a podcast or e-book for relaxation
  • Play a board or card game
  • Work on a puzzle
  • Learn something new

Each day you complete an activity* increases your chances of winning! Winners will be selected at random weekly and at the end of the challenge.

  • 4 Weekly Winners: Complete at least one activity each week (Thursday - Wednesday) and your name will be entered into a weekly raffle for $25 in EagleBucks. Weekly winners are also eligible to win the grand prize.
  • Grand Prize Winner: One winner will be randomly selected at the end of the challenge to receive $100 in EagleBucks.

Points to AhealthyU Game players, earn 4 points for logging at least one activity each week for all 4 weeks.

*Logging more than one activity each day does not increase your chances of winning.
