JOB & INTERNSHIP FAIRS
Meet exceptional students and alumni at our fall and spring Job and Internship Fairs, which are widely regarded as the most affordable and well-organized recruiting events in the D.C. area.
Enjoy the efficiency and convenience of interviewing AU students and alumni through our free On-Campus Recruiting (OCR) program. From late September through early December and February through April, transform our fully equipped interview rooms into satellite offices for you and your recruiting team.
Use Handshake to request an interview date, post available positions, review resumes from qualified candidates, and select interviewees. Then contact our Employer Relations Coordinator at least 24 hours prior to your interviews to arrange for easy Internet access through your personal laptop while on campus.
To generate buzz about your upcoming on-campus interviews and further brand your organization, host an information session open to all interested students or by invitation only. Submit your afternoon or evening event request through Handshake and partner with our Employer Relations Coordinator who actively promotes OCR schedules to appropriate audiences. Due to space limitations on campus, information sessions are only accommodated for organizations conducting on-campus interviews in the same time frame, or are in the top 25 of the Desired Employers List as ranked by students through our biannual survey. As an alternative, we are happy to promote your organization's virtual events.
Employer Exchanges: the new information session
The Employer Exchange events are hosted each semester for employers seeking to hire in a dynamic recruiting environment. This conference style event features up to six organizations each delivering a 30-minute information session, in one of three rounds. A concurrent networking reception provides space for people to gather and exchange business cards and resumes while enjoying refreshments. Please contact the Employer Relations Coordinator for more information.
To generate buzz on campus about your organization, host an information table in our bustling Mary Graydon Center, on the quad, or another high-traffic area. You will have up to three hours (free!) to interact and engage with our student population to share information about your organization, and job & internship opportunities.

Public Service Work Study Program
Hire talented, committed, part-time staff members for a fraction of the usual cost. Partner organizations - non-profit organizations and government agencies - hire AU students with Federal Work Study awards for part-time positions in the fall, spring, or summer terms. Partners pay only 25% of students' wages, while federal funds cover the rest.
